The magician knew that if the dragon spoke he would be undone, so he fumbled through his pockets and found his pocket watch. Still held firmly in the dragon's grasp, he held on the watch to Tomi.
"Here, young man, how about a trade? See, this lovely watch," he said swinging it gently back and forth by its chain, "Isn't it shiny? Just wat--"
"Don't trust him, Master, he is an evil magician. I used to be human. I'm sure he's trying to hypnotize you," Mitch's head said.
Tomi had been fascinated by the watch, but the booming voice of the speaking dragon had broken the spell. He averted his eyes from the magician, and the dragon continued to speak.
"He used the medallion you wear, Master, to make me change into whatever the bearer of the amulet wished. I've been a dog, a cow, and now a dragon. When Paco and I captured him, he said that his magic had no power over dragons."
"What were you planning to do with him? And who's Paco?" Tomi asked looking at the dragon and ignoring the magician who kept speaking softly asking Tomi to watch the watch. The only Paco he knew was his sister's girl friend.
"I was going to eat him, just before you called us back to you, Master. Paco is some dumb Mexican kid who found the medallion, and turned me into a dog, a bull and a cow, and used me as his sex toy. I almost managed to escape his control, but only succeeded in cursing him with the amulet too. He was the bull that was raping me when we became the two headed dragon. My name is Mitch, by the way, Master."
"Paco?"
"Yes, Master Tomi?"
"Why didn't you say anything when I first gave you the power of speech?"
"I was ashamed, Master Tomi, I treated you like shit. Always mocking Maria's older brother for being into weird sci-fi magic shit. Saying it wasn't real. I know better now. Also, ashamed that I cheated on your sister with this gringo. Sorry, Master, are you going to punish me?"
The magician swung the watch in a wider arc letting out the chain, it flashed in front of Tomi's face. Tomi blinked as it came inches from his eye.
