Shawn grabs the lock pick and runs for the door. Before trying to pick the lock, she makes sure it actually is. Unfortunately, the ogre isn't an idiot and actually did lock the door. She sticks the key into the lock and jiggles it around, but nothing happens with it. The door remains stubbornly locked. Shawn turns around and eyes the window. Maybe she could use the lock pick to pry one of the bars off. Deciding not to worry about how she's going to get down if it works, Shawn runs over and starts trying to get rid of one of the bars. After a few minutes, she succeeds! She tests it to see if she'll be able to get her chest out, and she does. She immediately pulls back in so she doesn't fall out. Now that that's out of the way, she has to figure out how to get down.
After a half an hour of thinking of some logical way to get down, Shawn remembers that she's in a cartoon. Taking this into consideration, she grabs her bed sheet and the spare, ties them together, ties that to one of the bars on the windows, and starts to climb down. When she's almost at the bottom of the second bed sheet, Shawn sees something she couldn't from the top floor. First, the bedsheets will only get her to the second story. Second, there are thorn bushes at the bottom. As Shawn starts to think of a way out of this, the knot in the bedsheets starts to come undone. She doesn't have much time.
