"Fantastic, the show starts next month."
"Next month?" spitted out Carly.
"Yes, ma'am. You're both going to have to be sequestered for a little while while going through a battery of
tests to see if you qualify. Then, if you do qualify, you'll both have to do some photo shoots, a couple of
rudimentary interviews to build footage for when we release the cast, and last but not least, you'll both, of
course, enter the Big Brother house."
One of the Thai girls, clearly hammered, started flirting with Carly and played with her hair, which Carl
normally would have found erotic, but in this state of mind and this body just felt plain annoying.
"What about our privacy? Don't most of the people who go on these show suddenly become slaves of the network,
and their likenesses get exploited by them without any consent or royalties?"
Jon shook his head.
"Not if you play it smart. You're right that most people who go on Reality TV are absolute morons or at least
naive when it comes to this stuff, but I've managed more than a few of your kind. I do my best to make sure my
finds get the treatment they deserve."
"You're a manager, too?" pondered Wendy.
"Mmm hmm."
"Who have you managed?"
Jon then rattled off a list of names. Carl had maybe heard of one or two of them, vaguely, from when Wendy
forced him to watch her favorite shows, but Wendy was absolutely ecstatic at the names. To her, they were
practically celebrities.
"You know, I've noticed something about you two, and I love it" said Jon. "You're both twins, right, but Carly
here is clearly more reserved than you are, Wendy. You're twin sisters in looks, but personality wise, you're
completely different. The Odd Couple, but hotter. That's exciting. People are going to love you two,
especially the male demographic if you both last long enough in the game."
Wendy looked wildly at Carl, her eyes glittering with excitement at what the near future offered. She had
always dreamed of going on this show, but didn't want to be seen as the typical older lady(not that Wendy was
old, but compared to the average age of a Reality TV contestant, she was due to collect Social Security). The
older contestants are usually ostracized right away just because of their age, but Wendy didn't think that was
fair. She probably knew about how to win Big Brother than half of those recruits! Now that she was younger,
the playing field was level, and she was determined to kick ass and chew bubblegum. Carl was reasonably smart
as well, and if he just listened to his wife, he would be along for the three month long ride.
"Hey, didn't you say you were going to have a dinner interview?" asked Carl suddenly.
"You ladies ARE my dinner interview."
Carl had a bewildered look on his face. Jon smiled.
"I was absolutely confident that you two would accept, so I prognosticated a dinner interview. Go ahead, order
anything you like my treat. Waiter!"
A waiter then appeared, sighing, somewhat at odds and maybe a teensy bit jealous of all the lovely women that
Jon Adams-Reilly had surrounded himself with. Jon ordered the best steak off the menu. Wendy ordered filet
mignon in bearnaise sauce. The waiter quickly glanced at Carly's cleavage before asking her what she wanted.
She picked pork tenderloin. Three of the Thai girls closest to Jon ordered what he ordered. The waiter then
left, claiming that this should take close to fourty-five minutes for all the orders.
"Just the idle life of an idle playboy" mused Jon.
