The year is now 2150. A lot has changed in 90 years. For one, all major governments have fallen. This followed the inevitable nuclear
war between the U.S. and China for control of the world's dwindling resources. The inhabitants of the world now have two choices: live
under the tyrannical reign of a global military syndicate known as Potentia, or face the violent anarchy outside of its territory. Most
people prefer Potentia; while they may lose their freedoms, they keep their lives.
Potentia controls the major cities of the world: New York, London, Moscow, Beijing, etc. They generally set up a five mile perimeter
outside of the city to keep rebellious forces out and to keep their own subjects in. They have immense power within these limits, but
they are too disorganized to do much outside their borders. Each city is ruled by a General who controls everything in the city, and each
city's General is in loose alliance with the others (though fights between cities are not uncommon). Potentia has a strict anti-furry policy.
The "Outlands", as they are called, are anywhere not contolled by Potentia. Here, anarchy is supreme; the only leadership comes from
small, disorganized gangs of bandits as well as a large group known as Denarius: a pirate-mafia organization which traverses the
continent of North America practicing exploitation and basic theft to make vast sums of money. Denarius is lead by Boss Tank, an
anthro salt water crocodile with a strong love for cash. Many anthros join Denarius because they aren't persecuted there.
The only other group worth mentioning is Vorrecht. Based out of the Black Forest in Germany, Vorrecht seeks to restore democracy to
the world and destroy Potentia. While they are both outgunned and outmanned, they often manage to strike crippling blows to the
syndicate using guerrilla warfare. Led by Aiden Vex, great-great-grandson of VexCo's founder, Vorrecht is a beacon of hope in these
dark times.
As far as VexCo's superdrug, Furcotin, it is out of production. A very small stock is left, split up among the three major groups and
several private collectors scattered about the Earth. By this time, however, there are enough naturally-breeding furry pairs that they are
still very common. Due to genetic dilution, the odds of super-powered Furries has decreased, though the ones that do gain powers are
now much stronger. These "superfurs" are highly valued by the three groups and are often forced into service of Potentia or Denarius.
So, who will we follow?
