I suddenly felt like I was hanging helplessly in the air. I couldn't feel wings anymore but from my
perspective I could tell the world was still much larger than I was used to. It tried to look around but
couldn't.
"Stop squirming," said a familiar voice, "I'm taking you straight to the King. You better accept you've lost
now or things could get even more unpleasant."
The womanly voice sounded so familiar but I didn't quite recognize it. I could hear the buzzing beat of wings.
I looked up but couldn't see what held me. I looked down and saw a fluffy brown tail. I was a squirrel. I was
the pixie I turned into a squirrel! The familiar voice was mine!
Across the room Dili got up from the shattered table she had landed on.
"Awight den. Did we win?" she said.
"It would appear that so." The white mage said calmly.
"Ah it feels nice to be able to actually move again," Morgana said, "That fucking witch got what she deserves,
trapped as some useless trinket."
"What poor luck I have. Turned into a stinking skunk and now stuck as the incontinent elf! I can hear my
fathers words already: 'I told you not to become a Knight, Cecelia. Look what mess you've got yourself into
now!'" said "Arn."
Maedel got up from the floor. The last remnants of wood chippings, saw dust and bark slipping off her. She
stared at the magic necklace pulled from the half orcs body, now turned into a fluffy bunny rabbit and likely
containing the mind of Dili the gnome. She tied the broken necklace around her slender neck and looked around.
She saw the others look themselves over in their new bodies. She saw me flown through the protective bubble
surrounding the dais where the King sat. I was given to the King who grabbed me by my long bushy tail and held
me up in front of himself triumphantly with a grin on his face.
Maedel said "Well, I don't think being an elf is so bad, Cecelia. It all turned out rather well thanks to
someone don't you think?" She walked up beside the white mage and patted him on the shoulder.
"Well, I can't take all the credit. You all did a very good job of distracting them... and being transformed
into creatures unable to fight back." said the white mage.
"Very clever," Maedel grabbed the white mage, pulling his neck back and put her knife to it, "now if you want
to live long enough to have another clever thought you'll swap everyone back!"
"Da warding necklace!" said "Dili" stunned, "She wasn't effected by da swap spell!"
