Julie's stomach grumbled and she looked to the Twinkie. She grabbed the plastic wrap and tore
it off, grabbing the delicious sponge cake out.
Jeff just waited. Surely he'd turn back now right? Without any senses, Jeff was unaware of what
was about to happen.
Julie brought up the Twinkie and sniffed it before opening her mouth and sticking it in, her
teeth sinking into the cake. Her mouth filled with sweetness and cream as she bit off the end and
chewed, her teeth and saliva turning it into fine mush.
Jeff suddenly felt strange. There was a flash of color that faded to black and he could feel less of
himself as that awareness faded. Was this part of the change?
Julie swallowed the sweet bite down her throat and smiled. She hummed her satisfaction and
took another bite of the Twinkie.
Jeff grew more concerned as more and more colors flashed and faded, his awareness growing
more faint. Something was wrong, this much he knew, but he could do nothing but wait until it
would end.
Julie stuffed the last bit of Twinkie into her mouth and grinded it into paste and cream, the last of
Jeff flickering then fading as she swallowed.
The mashed remains slid down her throat and plopped into her stomach as the process of
digestion began.
She sighed contentedly and threw away the wrapper, the computer buzzing with an error
message. SUBJECT LOST!
