Almost as soon as Mark and Luke walked through the front door of Luke's house they were bombarded with questions. Their parents all spoke at once, and under normal circumstances it would have been a dizzying ordeal, let alone for a pair of conjoined friends. They tried to answer as many of the questions as they could. No drugs were not involved. No it wasn't over a girl. No it wasn't over a boy. It had nothing to do with Max. They simply had a really rough day, and were grinding on each others' nerves. And as simple as they're answer had been, their parents accepted it. After a few loving words they were excused and allowed to head to Luke's room.
They closed the door gently behind them and dropped their pack before Luke walked over to his bed, before spinning around and falling into it. Luke let his arm fall across their stomach, "Well that was fun."
"Well at least today is over, right?" Mark propped himself up on his elbow and glanced toward Luke.
"Not quite..." Luke lifted them to a sitting position and tried to look at Mark. But just like before, with their heads so close, he could only see the left side of his friends face. "The day's not over till the suit comes off."
Mark smirked, "Heh, right. I guess in the short time we've been together I've grown so used to it that I forgot." Mark twisted them to look over at the clock. "Any idea how much longer we're allowed to stay like this?"
Luke smiled at Mark's choice of words. "No idea man, but I say we make the most of the time we have left."
"Oh? Any ideas then?" Mark sounded intrigued, but all Luke could do was shrug. "Ya, same here. The whole idea behind this was to see what being conjoined is like. I don't think we had a very accurate picture."
"I know. Going to school and fighting? I thought it would be more like hanging out... just attached." Luke sighed, and fell back on the bed. Only to sit up a moment later with such force, Luke almost threw them to the floor. "Why don't we do that then?!"
"Do what?"
"Hang out! Do the shit we usually do... just together!" Luke lifted them to their feet, and Mark seemed on board.
