Two young men and one young woman walks into the kennel. The three of them are all in the early twenties. Once inside their eyes sweep the room, as if searching for something. "I guess Jim hasen't come yet" One of the men says. "Strange, he's usually the one who is on time" The second man adds. A woman, who obviously works at the kennel walks up to the group. "Hallo and welcome to the "Kennel for a day" kennel. We've go..." The woman starts, with a warm smile but is interrupted in the middle of the sentence by a sudden loud bark from an area further back in the kennel. She turns her head toward the source of the sound and smiles knowingly. She starts to snicker as she faces the trio once more. "What's so funny?" the female member of the trio asks.
The kennel lady stops her snickering "Uh, It's nothing... We've just gotten a new Newfoundland and he's probably feels a bit worried right now" Several more barks and a long howl is heard. "So what do you want to do?" she asks the kennel visitors. "Well, we're supposed to meet our friend at this kennel and he hasen't arrived yet. So I think we'll wait for him" The oldest male in the group who is called Jacob answers. "But we've got so many four legged companions that just begs for some attention." A lassie look-a-like collie has sneak up unnoticed next to the kennel lady. The kennel lady kneels down besides the dog and puts her arm around the dog's neck. "Like Diana here, she would love to have someone to play with"
The two males look skeptical at each other. "Well I don't know..." Jacob starts. But Lydia, their female companion has already started to pet Diana. The kennel lady smiles as she watches Lydia getting acquainted with the canine "See, the two of you will go along just fine" The kennel lady looks up at the two males. "Are you sure the two of you don't want to borrow a dog each?" The males first look at each other and then at the kennel worker. "No, it's ok. But thanks for the offer"
The kennel lady smiles while thinking: Very well, I'll just have to take care of the two of you later. She gets up on her feet and looks down at Diana and Lydia and says "If you want to play with her you have to follow me to one of the kennels, I don't want her running around over the whole place" Lydia nods and follows as the kennel worker starts walking toward one of the kennels. As Lydia and Diana starts playing catch with a tennis ball the kennel lady closes the kennel door and starts walking away. Now I have to check on how much time there is left on that Newfoundlands transformation she thinks to herself.
Jacob and Henry watches their female friend play with the collie in the kennel. "There is something strange about all this. Why did she want Lydia to play with the dog inside a kennel instead of the room? The dog was already loose and seemed to walk around freely" Jacob asks his friends. "I've got no idea" Henry answers shaking his head, not knowing what to think of this. Then Jacobs suddenly starts staring at the kennel door. He takes a few steps toward the door and takes a closer look at the look on the door. He walks the rest of the way to the door and tests the handle. "Hey lady! Why did you lock the kennel door!?"
