"Amanda, I'd like to give you a wish that you can ask for during this day. I don't know if I can do that or how this will work. Could we give it a try?" I asked.
"Joe, could I see you?" she inquired.
"Sure. I wish to be visible," I quipped.
Amanda let out a sigh and hugged me. "You want to give me a wish? Just what for?"
"Well, if you need to get to a safe place, find me, to play. I guess my motivation is you can use it if you find yourself in trouble," I shared.
"I am a little surprised. I'm not sure what I'd do with it. You're not sure if you can give me a wish. What do you mean?"
"I'm not sure if the wish requires wearing the ring or not. I don't know if I can transfer a wish to you or not. So, I want to test it first. I wish Amanda to be able to make one wish," I said. I didn't feel anything, but Amanda appeared to wobble slightly.
"Joe, what did you do to me? I feel kinda light-headed," she replied.
"Just gave you a wish," I replied.
Amanda steaded. "Wow, that was not your normal rush. It almost felt sickening. I think I'm okay now. I'm not sure if I want you to do that again."
I nodded. "If you want, but I would like to give you this, in case you need it."
"So, I can make a wish and it will be granted?" she asked. I nodded. "What if I turn myself into a statue or a book? I'd be stuck like that, right?"
"Well, you have one wish. You have to be careful with it. Amanda, it's 7, you need to go clock in."
