After much debate outside Madame Majiques cottage we hear the jingle of what could only be bells on jesters hats and decide to head to the nearest town. We arrive but not after getting soaked by the heaviest of downpours. Maedel being smarter than I usually give her credit for quickly makes the baby make shift baby carrier and hangs it beneath Connie the pigs belly. Figuring it as the best place to keep the babe warm and dry. Maedel puts the little dog in her backpack she'd stolen back when we left Molossia and somehow I end up with monkey Morgana clinging to my chest for warmth.
When we arrive in town we quickly search for an Inn and sit by the fire in the tavern downstairs whilst Maedel buys far too many ales from the bar. Maedel and I ended up getting thoroughly drunk after cheating Andrew when we drew straws to determined who stayed sober to look after the baby.
Poor Connie the pig was told she had to sleep in the barn with the other travellers horses even though she clearly wasn't a normal pig, being able to talk and all! She was less than excited about having to sleep in a stinky barn and eat scraps from a trough but Maedel slapped her behind sending her quickly trotting into the barn and reminding her she'd spent weeks in a pig sty and this was still a step up.
at some point in the evening I had the bright idea to ask the bar wench where we could find a magic user to help us defeat the clowns. She just laughed at my outlandish story but told us of a fortune teller in town.
We went to see the fortune teller in the afternoon as all of us slept til late apart from the baby who woke us up briefly, bright and early, crying and wanting a diaper change. I kicked Maedel out of the bed we shared and told her she wanted the responsibility so she can do it.
"Eww she's got weird eyes!" I screech at the sight of the fortune tellers milky white eyes. Being an as yet unworldly Princess I had yet to see a blind person
"Well, I never! Tell me do you always insult strangers?" The woman sounded incredibly insulted.
"Only ones with weird eyes!" I say, honestly thinking she'd appreciate it. She did not. "Seriously, I can't bare to look!"
"Princess Sara, your lack of sensitivity is contemptuous! You'd insult a blind woman based on her looks alone? You are a wretched girl and I shall teach you a lesson in humility. You shall slowly change and you will find the changes most unpleasant. Perhaps then you will be more sensitive about peoples looks!"
"Wha? I'm sorry okay I didn't mean to insult you!" I plead.
"Begone. I am done with you. As for you Maedel..." The woman says.
"Ow!" Maedel shouted as her breasts became sore and grew, straining her top. Her nipples were rubbing against the fabric and it made the soreness even worse. "Why am I getting cursed? I didn't say 'nuthin."
"You want to take care of the child, do you not? I've done you a favour." The old woman says. "And as for your quest. Save Morgana and you shall change your destinies but I know not how much. Beware, however, a dark force is at play."
The woman says as she hands a banana to the monkey Morgana who instinctually begins to peel and eat the thing.
"Oh yes and the baby is Sara and the dog is Connie." she says quickly. Before closing the curtain.
"What??" Maedel asks in confusion, flinging the curtain open but the woman is nowhere to be found. "Seriously, what in the heck are you talking about? Why do my boobs hurt?"
A womans voice quietly echos, "they're from the future... and you'll figure it out... I can't believe your so dense..."
"Yes! I knew it was time travel!" Andrew pumps his fist in the air, pleased with himself.
We resolve to go to Morgana's cabin like we probably should have done in the first place... that's where we managed to change her back from being a toilet, afterall. I suppose we should have thought about that earlier....
