Jeff finished his run and went into his house. He took off his tennis shoes and they immediately began turning into a naked Justin again. (He had left his clothes behind when he changed into shoes in the first place.)
"So how was it." Jeff asked.
"It was awful." Justin complained. "You had one foot in my mouth and one foot up my ass. I never want to do that again."
Jeff agreed and they shut down the Chronivac. They decided to have a snack but Justin wanted a shower first.
As Jeff fixed the snack, he heard Justin call his name.
"What's up." asked Jeff.
"There's something wrong." Justin whispered "Don't let your parents hear but I found a shoelace hanging out of my ass and look here at the bottom of my foot."
Jeff looked and there was a number.
Justin said, "It looks like a shoe size. Maybe I didn't turn completely human."
Jeff put his finger on the shoe size and immediately, Justin turned back into a pair of shoes.
Jeff panicked and went to the Chronivac searching for what happened. He saw an option called "make normal" and he clicked on it. But nothing changed. Justin was still a pair of shoes.
Just then Bill arrived. "How shorty, you ready for the week?"
Jeff asked, "Huh?"
"You promised me a week." Bill said, "You're not trying to get out of it."
Jeff said, "But Justin . . ."
Bill said, "Yes, it's time for Justin to be human again. You're not going to force him to stay your shoes for another week."
Jeff said, "Huh? Justin's our friend."
Bill said, "So is Pete or don't you recognize the shirt you're still wearing. Now take him off so he can become human."
Jeff stammered, "But . . . but . . . but . . ."
Bill sighed, "Do we have to go over this again. When puberty strikes, we all become were-clothes. You're just in denial because you don't like what you turn into. But you have to practice being clothing or you won't learn to control your transformation." Bill removed his shoes and dropped his pants and jockey shorts which became their friends Paul, Steve, and Tony.
Bill said, "I need a jockstrap for the coming playoffs. So you ready or not?"
