Katie shivered as the feeling shifted through her, rubbing her hands along her arms. Suddenly, all the wonderful changes, all the curiosity of becoming an adult seemed like a vast sea and she a very small boat to travel it. She looked at her hands, at her adult body and realized she was very much just a child who had become an adult. Even having the ring in her belly button now felt strange ... naughty.
"I don't like this..." She whispered to herself, almost without thinking it.
Merlin frowned and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, "What is wrong, dear?"
"The feeling. I feel so small. Not like I did. Its like everything I just had ... is gone."
Merlin chuckled and shook his head, "That feeling will pass in just a moment. It is just a slight side effect to the spell. That said, I do hope that the feeling you have gives you a bit of perspective."
"What do you mean?" Katie felt slightly confused.
The old man's eyes were earnest and gentle. "Childhood is precious. Don't seek to lose it so quickly."
Katie nodded. She remembered, a part of her hadn't wanted to age so quickly to an adult, heck she hadn't wanted to lose her whole childhood. Now here she was a college student, her mom a little girl, and all her friends, the former women, now young women or teens.
"I wish I didn't feel this way."
