Though paralyzed, Mary had enough awareness of her surroundings to feel herself being jostled around. She heard a high-pitched feminine voice saying, "Sorry, but dinner's cancelled!"
She knew she was suspended in midair, presumably carried by her rescuer, at this point, she didn't care; it couldn't be worse than a spider. Eventually she seemed to be set down, at which point the spider silk cocoon was torn open, and she was greeted with a lovely female face. She had a mop of red hair, highlighted in pink; freckles that seemed more like sparkles; long, pointed ears; and two pairs of clear wings behind her; she was a fairy. She waved a silver rod, tipped with a ruby star over your body. In an instant, all feeling returned, and you could move like normal; for a butterfly, that is.
"You're an odd creature;" the fairy said; "you have the body of a butterfly, but the spirit of a human. Were you cursed or something?"
"I drank a serum." you said, or thought, as butterflies have no voices. "Wait, can you even understand me?"
"I can, and I can see you're having trouble with this form. Why ever would you willingly turn yourself into such a thing, if you don't mind my asking?"
"I wanted to fly. It's been a dream of mine for ages."
"Even so, it would be a tragedy if you were to die in this form. I can help with that."
"Would you!?"
"It would be my pleasure; by the way, I'm Felicity."
"I'm Mary."
