As the New Perths were driving along into the City, the Original Mrs Perth was driving from it at a little over the limit. And with good reason, the delays caused by her work meant she was running behind, and at this pace, she’d barely have enough time to freshen up and get changed before they had to leave. Still, she thought, she could still make it in time, and they’d be able to have the night out she’d been promised while Kelly managed the Party for Linda.
Perhaps it was that focus on just getting home that kept her from noticing the first hints of her changing body, as her ears stretched into points as they gained a light fuzz while her toes became stiffer and lost some feeling. She did finally notice though, when a pain ran through her spine, like something was being pressed down on as she shuffled as best she could to relieve the ache.
That was when she noticed her fingers becoming longer, and slowly merging together into a single digit, ended with hard bony hoof. A prickling could be felt as grey horse fur sprouted over almost her entire body while her clothes became increasingly tight on her. Until they started tearing along the seams as she saw her face push out, the eyes moving to the sides.
By now the initial shock had worn off and Mrs Perth realised what was happening, she didn’t know how, but somehow she was becoming a horse! A shrill scream escaped her, one that was garbled by a neigh as her vocal chords reformed into their new design while her body widened fast, already no longer fitting in the driver’s seat as she fought to maintain control with forelegs that were lengthening by the second.
Her clothes had been torn to pieces and now slid free from her swelling frame, her breasts sinking into her barrelling chest while her torso stretched, taking her head to the roof and pressing it against it. Finally, she lost her loose grip on the steering wheel as the car slid to the side where it ran into the ditch on the side of the road, grinding noisily to a halt as she began striking the door as best she could to try and get it open. The shattering glass gave her the opportunity she needed as she squeezed herself through the improvised opening, the last scraps of clothing on her torn off as she hit the ground, trapped in a new quadruped state with the final few tweaks completing her transformation from early-40’s woman to horse.

The New Perths had driven past just in time to see the Original Mrs Perth ditch her car, him liking the scene, her concerned for Mrs Perth before remembering that she’d been pretty cruel towards her, deciding that it was probably for the best with the likes of that one.
That said, seeing her in that advanced state of transformation reminded her of what she used to be, and truth be told, she did miss it. The raw power, her rich flowing mane, her beautiful tail, the stamina to run for miles without wearing out. And even though she wasn't wearing a lot, with just a dress, necklace, and some high-heels, but even that was making her feel a little ill-at-ease, not completely comfortable with them. As they entered the City limits, she found herself wanting that power and beauty again. Oh sure, maybe not the lot of it, but perhaps some of it, enough to have at least a little of what she’d had before. Perhaps she’d bring the matter up with him during the dinner, or the movie.
