Bill saw that he could use the Chronivac to make changes but didn't believe it at first. He thought it was just a fantasy program which would create an image only. Bill decided to test it and since Jeff was the one who wanted to be transformed, Jeff would be the guinea pig.
Bill found an option called "made of" and decided to type in the word "metal". Bill thought that the Chronivac would take a picture of Jeff and change it to make Jeff look like he was metallic.
Meanwhile, in the garage, Jeff had just bent over to pick up something off the floor. Suddenly he couldn't move. He could see his hand in front of his face, his shiny, metallic hand. He felt scared that he'd be stuck this way permanently but he also felt happy to be made of metal. Jeff couldn't tell which metal he'd been turned into. He was too silver to be copper but too brown to be steel.
Greg had been nearby and saw Jeff turn to metal. "Jeff? Dad, get out here. Something happened to Jeff."
The whole family rushed out to see Jeff. Jeff's mom screamed but Bill said, "It's alright honey. Jeff is alright. I'll explain later. Just go inside."
Jeff's little sister was curious and unfastened Jeff's pants. "Yep, he's metal everywhere." Bill sent her inside with her mother.
"Help me get Jeff to his room." Bill said to Greg.
"What's going on, Dad?" Greg asked.
"I'll explain later. Let's just get him to his room."
Jeff was heavier than normal but still easy for two men to carry. They set him up in his room and Bill showed Greg the Chronivac. "I guess this things works. This new program Jeff got can transform people. Jeff wanted to transform himself into metal and he got his wish. Now let's see if we can reverse it."
Reversing it was easy and soon Jeff was pulling his pants back up. "That was embarrassing."
Bill said, "Son, I read your information on this computer. You enjoyed it didn't you?"
Jeff looked down, "Yes Dad."
Bill said, "Well what are we going to do with you?"
