Hailey swung open the shop door and went to the counter, noticing the strange things around her. She greeted the strange man there. "Hi. I need something fun to do at my sleepover party." The man smiled and pulled out a dusty box. "This game should be good. You seem like a good person, so I'll give you this game for free." Hailey took the game, waved her thanks, then left the store.
At the party, Hailey's parents were away for the weekend. Jennifer was popping popcorn, Sarah was laying out sleeping bags and Carrie was arguing with Hailey's brother Trevor, who was allowed to stay. Hailey pulled down the game. "Who wants to play?" Everybody did, even Trevor. Jennifer set down the popcorn and opened the huge box. The game board had lots of differently coloured spaces. Carrie read the rules. "You win by reaching the end point. If you land on a normal space, draw a question mark card. You will have to complete a task. Draw colour cards attributed to the coloured space you land on.
Red means animal.
Blue means body.
Yellow is age or size.
Green is inanimate.
Pink is gender change.
Purple has no card. Instead, draw three cards from piles of your choice.
Black has no card and means the person to your left picks your change.
Multicoloured means random!
Roll the dice to move. The winner gets three wishes. You can reverse your or other people's changes like this, or keep them. Have fun!"
Hailey shrugged. "Weird. I call blue pawn!"
Play went Sarah, Jen, Hailey, Carrie, Trevor.
Now it was Sarah's turn...
