Keiko's heart and soul were still a younger girls. Her definition of love was innocent, pure and curious as Jason's was now. She knew he had been her father, but...since using the ring, she had a chance to make both their lives better. Smiling, she tiptoed forwards and meshed her fingers with his own.
"I...love you too Jason.." She said, and silently wished that both their lives would change, that her memories of him as her father would go away, and that he and she would not only be best friends, but boyfriend and girlfriend, with new parents who both understood their relationship and were good but decent people who could provide.
As the change swept over them, Keiko felt a warm tingle go through her, she felt like she was forgetting something...it was important, but...now something else was. She stared into Jason's eyes and, leaning forwards, she gave him a gentle peck on the lips. As she did, the ring vanished from her finger and with it the memory of what it had done.
Keiko broke the kiss and smiled, looking at the blushing Justin. Then the two young teens went off to enjoy the beach and grow up and old together.
