Tate is late for his and Jamie's 'editorial meeting' in the reception area of the magic gym, despite it being him that had dictated to Jamie they should meet half an hour before his personal training session started.
He doesn't both making any excuses when he arrives and isn't even that interested in making conversation, with Jamie doing much of the work. He only really seems to come to life when Steve walks through the door and they exchange high fives. He leaves Jamie waiting there without even saying goodbye.
Jamie notices as he goes that Tate seems to have upgraded his gym wear to suit his rapidly shrinking figure.
During the session, Tate is eager than before. He is even quite openly aggressive with the way he seems to approach most of the exercises and this seems to please Steve.
It seems to be paying off too. They stop for a break and Steve encourages Tate to look at himself in the mirror. Muscles seem to have sprouted up all over Tate's toned body. His arms, shoulders and pecs fill out his t-shirt while his shorts seem stretched from growing thigh muscles. And when he lifts up his t-shirt he grins with pride at the thinly defined four pack previously hidden beneath.
"Oh shit yeah" he says, running his hand over the smooth bumps. Steve clamps his hand around his pal's shoulder, congratulating him for his hard work. With a smirk, he then points out a group of girls in the corner of the gym giving Tate some admiring looks. This just makes Tate swell with pride even more.
It isn't just his body that looks better. His skin is now completely clear of any traces of acne and a shade or two darker making him look slightly tanned. Meanwhile his hair has grown shades lighter. His grin exposes almost completely straight teeth which also appear to have turned a few shades whiter. A nearly perfect smile.
Jamie can't believe it when after the session is finished, he has to watch his newly muscled friend swagger right past him out of the gym, seemingly forgetting he was ever even there.
