Kat was smirking in triumph after sending her stupid brother away, and as she started to turn around and leave, there was a sudden flash of blue light. Kat snapped around, startled, and saw a glowing, bluish portal. Staring at it, she could just barely make out the outline of a humanoid shape. And then, suddenly, Danielle stepped through. Kat shrieked in surprise and jumped back. Not only was it obviously her brother-turned-fox-woman, she seemed... different. Older, more mature, more confident. She strode towards Kat purposefully and without fear, in a simple, practical outfit that nonetheless made her femininity clear.
"D-Dan...? Is that you?" Kat stammered, knowing full well the answer. The gorgeous vixen smiled and stooped down slightly, looking Kat in the eye.
"It's Danielle now, dear. Has been for twenty years. Yes, twenty, you really didn't grasp how much you dilated time between our worlds. Oh, don't worry, I undid it, time passes by just the same now, a trivial trick for someone as powerful as me," she said, her voice calm, almost motherly. Kat was nearly panicking - what was going on?! Danielle shouldn't have been able to get back! Unless... oh no. She really did inherit the family gift. Danielle just smiled at the look of realization and horror on Kat's face.
"Twenty?! But how are you so... young?" Kat squeaked, unsure of what else to say.
"Kat, honey, you really underestimate this power. I focused on transformation and healing first. I and my husband are basically immortal. Yes, husband, I got married. I have a family - I'm a mother of quite a few kits, and I have you to thank for that," Danielle said. Kat was stunned.
"You're... you're not mad at me? And what's with the terms of endearment?" she asked. Danielle's expression hardened suddenly.
"Oh, I'm furious. I'm glad it worked out like it did, don't get me wrong, but what you did was horrible. Kat, I love my new life more than you know; I'd rather not have come here at all. But I couldn't leave you to inflict yourself on this world. Or, for that matter, our mediocre parents. Heh. I'm older than mom, come to think of it. Anyway, I'm going to make sure you aren't a danger to anyone ever again," Danielle stated. Panicking, Kat grabbed at her wand. Danielle absently twitched an ear at it, and the wand transformed into chains, binding Kat's arms to the wall.
"I wasn't joking when I said I was powerful. In this world, magic is pretty powerful, but rare. In my new home, it's ubiquitous, and truly skilled mages with an innate gift - such as myself - are incredibly powerful. You're not going to get any of that power. The real question is, what to do with you?" Danielle stood back, her tail swishing thoughtfully. Kat couldn't help but notice how Danielle carried herself; not just a woman, but a woman of power and nobility. Kat began to feel very weak indeed, and dreaded what fate this woman she had created had in store for her.
