When their froggy lips met, Beth was excited to feel a sudden tingle. A brief dizzy moment later, Beth was standing naked in pond water up to her knees. "It worked!" she exclaimed, looking down at herself. "I'm a girl! But... my body. It's flat chested and plain again. What happened to AHHH! Who are you?" Beth had looked around for the prince, only to discover another naked young woman, one who looked very beautiful, even standing in a mucky pond.
"My name is Patience and I should explain to you," the woman said. "I am a princess, or was long ago. I was cursed to live forever as a frog. When I saw that witch had cast a simular spell on you, I said I was a prince, thinking you might be more open and friendly."
"Oh, I see," said Beth. "You didn't have to do that. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get a handsome prince, but I'm just happy not to be stuck as a frog. Come on, let's get out of this pond and find some clothes."
"Allow me," Patience said once they were on land. With a gesture, both she and Beth were clean and dry, wearing fine gowns.
"Wow! Beth exclaimed. "You can do magic?"
"I can now that I am free from the frog curse I was under. My father had his most powerful wizard seal me in that form. Without a voice or hands I couldn't use my own magiks to free myself."
"Your father did that?" Beth asked. "That's terrible! Was he an evil king or something?"
"Oh no, he was a very good king," Patience replied. "Good and dull and set in tradition. When I reached the proper age, my hand was to be given in marriage to the strongest knight of the land. Never mind if I wanted to have any say about it. So I secretly studied the arts arcane. Then I transformed all of his precious knights into helpless willowy maidens and planned to take the throne for myself. Unfortunately my powers were not strong enough to best all of father's wizards."
"Wait a minute!" Beth interrupted. "You mean YOU are evil?"
Princess Patience smiled. "Very much so. And now to reward you for freeing me."
