"Oh dear." Megan frowned, as without warning, the nursery the inhabited was rapidly torn away. In that moment, they suddenly found themselves sitting on the balcony of an apartment in some sunny... place. Looking out, Megan saw a large bridge and a river off in the distance, and- was that the Sydney Opera House? Huh, Australia it was then. Shaking her head, she turned back toward the others, taking stock of the situation.
"Okay," she said to Stella, "Your turn." Stella nodded, grabbing the dice and rolling them, trying not to the let the sound of Cathy reciting Shakespeare, or the view she got every time she looked up and saw a diaper poking out from beneath Cathy's skirt, distract her.
2. That landed her on the same space as Megan had been on before, an Effect Card, it seemed. Taking a deep breath, she picked up a card from the corresponding pile and read it.
"Every time someone besides you rolls a 2 from now, you must take a card at the same time and of the same type as them. Have fun." Stella grimaced, "Okay, this is going to be very unfunny, I can tell." she looked to Mark, "Your turn." Mark nodded, silently, still concerned that he was unable to speak. Quietly, he picked up the dice and rolled them.
9. Okay, he nodded to himself, moving his piece forwards. Another Effect Card. Joy. He rolled his eyes, somewhat beyond caring now, as he took a card from the pile. Blinking in surprise as he read it, he lent over to Stella so she could read it aloud.
"Apparently, next time someone rolls a 9, they'll lose their voice and he'll get his back, but nothing more than that one time." She frowned, "That's... both good and bad. Huh..."
It was at this moment that it technically became Cathy's turn and she stopped reciting Shakespeare. "Oh thank god..." she took a deep breath that she so desperately needed, before sitting down again. She glanced around, "...when did we end up in Sydney?"
"On Megan's turn." Alex responded, glancing at her sister, "Speaking of turns, it's yours now, Cathy."
"Ah, right." she shrugged, before picking up the dice for her turn and rolling somewhat apprehensively.
