You recount everything with them. Everything you could recall. Tina's eyes just kept widening throughout the entire story. At first Rachel appeared to be doubtful of things, but as you continued, she seemed to get more concerned.
Finally you get to the part where you suddenly found yourself cliff-diving and face-planting into the water. "And the next thing I remember is waking up and getting strangled by you," you say to Tina.
"I can't believe it," Tina said. "You bit a werewolf?" She laughed. "You do realize that's not the way it's supposed to work."
Rachel continued to smell dead serious. "Did you swallow any of its blood?"
Tina tapped her lip a few times. "I wonder if it will be cursed to change into a red-headed girl every full moon."
You smirk at Tina, "Only when the monkshood blooms."
"Cynthia," Rachel said sharply. "Did you swallow any of its blood?"
"What? Uh, no. I don't.... I don't think so." Now that you thought on it, you could remember the taste of its blood on your tongue. But its not like you drank a cup of it. You probably just spat what was there out at some point. "No, no I didn't."
"Good," she replied. "I thought these things were just a story. I don't want us to have to sort out which of five billion legends, myths, books, or Hollywood films have the proper mythology."
"Where was I found anyway?" you ask as you change into a different set of clothes. The old ones from last night were feeling a little ripe and feeling a little tight.
"Right at the lake," said Tina. "You washed up early this morning, face-up, from the river feeding it. Natty and Maura were swimming near there, and both thought you were dead and screamed like banshees!"
One half rollover and you would had been dead, drowned, you think to yourself. Your stomach growls again.
"You must be starved," says Tina. "You've been out all day."
You blink. "What time is it?"
"Almost five," she said. "I'll get you something from the hall once it opens. Just in case they're slow to... well... punish you for running off."
