Derrick looked at the soiled loincloth and shuddered somehow knowing that it would rip his identity from him. He also somehow knew that is probably what happened to all the "Bull"s. "What was I thinking?" Looking up at the beast across the cave apologetically, "I can't Bull... I just can't..." Bull just snorted and shrugged noncommittally. Derrick looked back at the loincloth which was now replaced by his bag and everything he had packed.
Without questioning it, he grabbed it and headed back the way he came...
Approaching the front desk, the same beautiful woman looked up and smiled, which quickly turned to a look of disappointment. "What's the matter? Didn't you like your room?"
Derrick was once again smitten by her beauty and was left stammering, it wasn't Bulls fault and he didn't want to get him in trouble.
"Well, it won't be all that comfortable but I can see about getting another bed into the room with your family."
"No, I, was hoping for another individual room. I don't mean to be a bother but..." Derrick was overwhelmed by a flood of emotions. On one hand, his father would probably yell at him... he did beg for the room and now he is turning his nose up at it. He felt like he was letting Bull down, somehow. On the other hand, His parents have allowed him a smidgen of independence and he would rather sleep outside than give that up, and her beautiful eyes glisten like emeralds...
"Hmm, you're a tough customer to please..." Her forehead crinkled. " but I do love a good challenge. I could have sworn you would have loved the independence, natural atmosphere, and rugged strength and masculinity that came with the Minotaur Cave room."
"I did! I do! Those things were great! But..." How do you even put into words that the bellhop is a real Minotaur, wanted you to wear a soiled loincloth, and do god only knows what else. "... it was a tad less civilized than I had hoped?"
