The blinding light from the remote caused Evans to close his eyes. When he opened them he released nothing has changed. Maybe he missed... That is when he notice a Pigeon on the ground... Panting?
On that train of thought, shouldn't his heart beat be... slower? His heart is beating so fast, it's almost like he is on the verge of a heart attack! That is when he thought back at his zoology class and how they mentioned ho birds has one of the best respiratory systems in the animal kingdom. If that's true then Evans can run and do thing he couldn't do before without breaking a sweat. Heck, he is barley breathing and he is not out of breath yet. Despite how cool this new feature is, it's not what he want.
He looked down at the Pigeon who couldn't fly anymore. The one who is trying so hard to fly but couldn't catch its breath. Poor thing. He could take the Pigeon's wings but that would be cruel. Probably best to leave it alone and stop causing it trouble.
Evans pointed his remote at another bird that caught his eye but he didn't fire. Why did he didn't get wings on the first try? Did he his the wrong body part?
While he was pondering, the bird Evans was pointing at flew away. This could be a problem. With the birds flying around all the time, there is no guarantee he will hit his target. Not to mention the number of people and insects moving about. Maybe he should take a break from getting wings for now and try a exhibit with slower animals. Just to be on the safe side... Maybe he should try the reptile exhibit next. Reptiles are slower then birds right? Besides from wings, he always wanted a alligator or crocodile jaw. Maybe even both...
What should he do? Should he try hitting his favorite bird with his remote and hope for the best or try a different exhibit for the time being. Or maybe he should try out this new respiratory system of his.
