Your lovemaking with Lydia is tender and passionate. You explore each other's bodies and enjoy being together. In your mutual ecstasy you both lose track of time. After climaxing, the two of you doze in each other's arms.
You're both awakened later by a knock on Lydia's bedroom door.
"Will you two be down for dinner?" comes the voice of Lydia's mother from the other side.
You glance at each other nervously. "We'll be down soon, mom."
Roused from your slumber, you share a quick shower, but decide now is not the time for any intimacy there. Besides, you're both spent from earlier lovemaking. You both dry off and dress, half-giddy and half-nervous. Heading downstairs together you join Lydia's parents at the dinner table. You're thankful this is not the first time you've met them. The dinner conversation starts with small talk then Lydia's father steers it toward the obvious subject. Lydia truthfully says you've only very recently become intimate, although she avoids any details - especially that she's now a part-time mermaid (and why). Lydia's father delivers a short but stern speech about responsibility and you feel like you're on the hot seat. But he ends it by admitting he and Lydia's mother both think you're a good young man, and just asks that both of you be careful. You breathe a sigh of relief. Lydia's mom chimes in that they knew the relationship between you and Lydia was serious so they're not surprised. With the tension relieved, the four of you enjoy a delicious dinner.
Afterwards, you and Lydia share a long passionate kiss in the driveway before you drive home.
The next day at school Lydia confirms through a mutual friend that Monica's post-prom beach house party is an open invite. Although neither of you like Monica, Lydia is friends with the rest of the swim team who will probably all be there and many other friends as well. After discussing it at lunch, you and Lydia agree to go. You also make other plans for prom.
Saturday night arrives and you pull up to Lydia's house in your car. You're dressed in a nice tuxedo. Lydia's father opens the door for you and you sit in the living room chatting with him waiting for Lydia to finish getting ready upstairs.
Finally, you hear footsteps and look over to see your girlfriend coming down the stairs in an light blue dress. When she gets to the bottom, you greet her with a big hug and a quick kiss, and whisper "You're beautiful."
Lydia's parents both wish the two of you have fun, but again remind you to be careful.
As the two of you drive to prom, you realize Lydia is nervous.
"What's the matter?"
"I've got a bad feeling Monica has something planned for either prom or her party afterwards."
You give Lydia's hand a reassuring squeeze. "Let's forget about Monica and focus on having fun."
