What started as a memory recovery experiment had soon enveloped the world in a kind of chaos that could only be described as "playfully bonkers"!
All over the world, grown-ups and teens were becoming kids of no older than five years old, and as if that wasn't enough, their old childhood memories resurfaced, along with their old childish personalities.
Victims would try to retain their adult maturity, and the result was a comedical fusion between their mature adult personas, and their immature, playful child personas.
These "Kidults" as they happily took to calling themselves, made their jobs and their very lives into one big game. They couldn't help themselves!
Meanwhile, the real kids, without any responsible adults left, became three-year-old imps, complete with horns, pointy ears, cute fangs, small bat wings, spade-tipped tails, slit pupils, and every color of skin, eyes, or hair imaginable.
Not all the kids became naughty imps. Those kids who chose to remain pure of heart became three-year-old fairies, complete with pointy ears, pointy noses, large and colorful butterfly wings, and every color of skin, eyes, or hair imaginable.
While the Imps liked to be naughty and pull pranks, the fairies liked to spread joy and laughter wherever they went, and although they could shrink to be as small as dolls, they liked to be the same size as their Imp brothers and sisters.
Lastly, the babies gained intelligence along with the ability to speak clearly. These babies grew small, feathery wings, cute pointy ears, and had glowing gold halos over their heads, becoming cherubs to balance out the prank-loving imps. The cherubs, ironically for their age, would act as the sole voices of reason in this otherwise crazy and very young world. Most odd of all was the fact that they never needed their diapers changed.
Thus, there were now four races in the world: The Kidults, the Imps, the Fairies, and the Cherubs. None of them would ever grow up again, but they didn't mind at all. It was also found that no one could be killed, get sick, or even hurt. In fact, all three races seemed to develop cartoon physics, where they could get flattened, inflated, and blown up among other things, and still manage to go back to their "normal" states.
Any wars in progress were ended, if that was any sort of consolation. Now the Kidults and the Imps ran about pranking eachother, with the Cherubs doing their best to keep the peace.
Families still lived together, because even though most families had two, three or even four different races in the same home, the still loved eachother.
Any clothing worn would shrink to fit their new ages. Since the Imps, Fairies and Cherubs could fly, they never had any issues regarding places too high to reach. Kidults found they could stretch their limbs to reach things, and even mold their faces like putty just for fun and laughs.
What's more is that no one ever ran out of anything they needed.
At the same time, a fifth race came into being: Baby Furs.
The Baby Furs in this world came from animals, and just like the Cherubs, they gain speech, intelligence, and never needed their diapers changed. They were happy and playful, and wanted to be friends with everyone, including the other three races. Just like the other races, they wouldn't age either.
The world they all lived in was also affected, becoming entirely child-safe, leaving nothing in nature that could harm anyone.
Baby Furs who had started as pets became members of their families that owned them before, though some Kidults with their Imp and Fairy children would say that these Baby Furs had ALWAYS been family, because that was how they felt about their pets.
No matter what species they were, all Baby Furs were the same size as the Cherubs.
To think that all this happened in a single day was nothing short of incredible.
