Robert and Sally had been married for 9 wonderful months, they where still in the honeymoon stage of marriage as some of their friends and families liked to call it. If that was the case, neither wanted it to end, yes both of them had stressful jobs Robert was a firefighter and Sally was a nurse but they had made it work so far. Both where in the middle 20’s having finished a time in the military and college respectively and they rented a small house in the farming town they lived in which was only 50 miles from the town both of them had been born and raised in. They hadn’t started actively trying to have any children yet but the bedroom was often used for more then sleeping. Both of them where just happy to be together and to start the rest of their lives together.
Robert was actually home when his wife came back from work early and told him the news, the hospital had required their entire staff to be tested for the Monster flu every 3 months and she had come up positive. It was devastating but it got worse or better depending on the view better, Robert came back positive as well for the flu and now both of them sat in the doctor’s waiting room of the hospital where Sally worked waiting to find out what they will become hoping that they would still be able to be together once it was done.
