You're startled by Kim's laughter, which sounds light and carefree rather than malicious. "Relax, will you?" she says. "I'm just gonna have a little fun. It's not like you weren't going to use it." She must have seen a guilty look in your eye. "Wait, did you already do something?"
"Well, yeah," you say, trying to deflect. "I wished for that money, remember?"
"You know that's not what I mean," Kim says. "What did you use the ring for?"
You try to think quickly. Kim's tone is still light and carefree, but you know from experience how quickly she can get vindictive if she believes someone has wronged her. If you reveal what you have done to her, she might get angry and take revenge. Then again, she might take it as a compliment that you wanted to see her like that. What should you do?
