“Hey how about we call it a day, I am wasted!” She told Clarisa without looking up. Clarisa nodded without speaking. That last loop had left her a little woozy, even so, her hearing was even sharper!
“Sure, we’ll get some beer for us at the hotel.” Juliet didn’t care about the beer, she just wanted to sleep.
“Well none for me but let’s head over to the hotel.”
“Works for me.” Clarisa said, completely oblivious to her swiveling ears.
They came into view of a large hotel. “Hey...is that kid eating grass?” Clarisa asked with interest.
Juliet turned around to see a girl maybe 8 years old munching at some grass at the side of the walkway. She shook her head; “Hey buddy, what are you doing? You will ruin your stomach!”
The little girl looked up with grass hanging out of her blocky teeth. “Are you kidding? This tastes great. Awesome ears by the way!” She returned to her meal.
“Ears? What does she mean, Clarisa?” Clarisa swiveled her ears towards Juliet. “Not a clue.” Clarisa didn’t tell Juliet, but she wanted to try some of that grass.
“Ok, let’s go I am tired and those strange things start to really freak me out!” Juliet replied pointing at the girl to emphasize her point of view before turning towards the hotel again.
Clarisa open the door to their room. “I dunno Juliet, it didn’t seem that strange to me.”
“Yeah whatever!” Juliet replied before claiming the upper bunk for herself;
“First one!”
“Ass.” Clarisa grumbled as she walked to the window. From the second floor she could see that kid eating grass. She was still down there, but now she was on her hands and knees.
“Hey Juliet?” But her right ear caught the sound of snoring. She slipped under the covers herself.
This was amazing. Three days of fun. She already didn’t want to leave.
