Tina needs to drop off all of the supplies she bought for the daycare. She should get that done first.
After arriving at the daycare, Tina checks on Leah again. Leah is still fast asleep. Tina chuckles and wipes the drool off her stepdaughter’s face, then checks her diaper.
“Dry,” Tina tells her sleeping stepdaughter. “Good boy, Aspen!” Leah snores. “I can’t just leave you in the car…” Tina unbuckles Leah from the car and carries her into the daycare. “Hi, Betsy!” The receptionist, Betsy, looks up. “I bought the supplies we need, but while I was watching my nephew, Aspen. I don’t want to leave him in the car while I bring in the items.”
“Say no more. I’ll go put him down.” Betsy takes Leah from Tina. “How old is he?”
“Two.”
“Two. He’s a big two.”
“He’s always been a big boy. No need to check his diaper, by the way. I did that when we arrived. He’s clean.”
“Sounds great!” While Tina goes back outside, Betsy brings Leah to a row of cribs, then gently lays her down. “You’re such a handsome little man,” Betsy coos. Leah smacks her lips, but stays asleep. Betsy returns to her desk just as Tina comes back in with grocery bags. “He’s still asleep.”
“Good,” Tina sighs in relief.
Tina winds up getting roped into doing chores around the daycare after she brings in all the supplies she purchased. By the time she’s ready to leave, a full hour has passed. Betsy tells her which crib she put Leah in. Tina walks over, to find…
