Kellie and her friends now found themselves inside the Magic Shop. With Jackie, Mia, Zack, and baby Yuriko captured, things were growing tense. The other timeline appeared hostile to magic currently. If things got any worse everyone feared someone could die.
"Wow looks like everyone is here," Kellie whispered as she looked at Jack. Jack could only nod. It appeared everyone who had magic was currently in the storeroom of the Magic Shop. As Kellies daughter, Katie, now stepped forward the room fell silent.
"Things are starting to spiral out of control," she stated. "What happened with the kids?"
Akira now stepped forward, a grim look on his face as he gazed out at the wizards. "Casseus and Isao captured the children," he sighed. "I blame myself, I was unable to protect them."
"That's a load of crap and you know it," Ayami bellowed. The succubus was still holding her side from the wound she had received. "You saved our asses back there."
"I still fail to understand why you saved me," Akira asked. Ayami stayed silent, the succubus didn't want to say why she had gone out of her way to protect the kitsune.
"Regardless," Katie said, trying to get the others back on topic. "The time has come to counter attack. Ive already talked with my parents and the future Lynne and Morgan. We think we know what needs to be done." Katie now beckoned her future sister and daughter forward, the two sorceresses gazing at the crowd.
"In our future," Lynne stated. "When the timelines merged we found a way to separate them. It effectively ended the war. While things have changed up, we think we can do something similar."
"So what would that do," the teen Mary Elise asked.
"Well," Morgan said. "We think that by performing the ritual we can seal one of the timelines from magic."
"What do you mean seal," Gloria asked.
"The spell would make it so that the magic realms would only exist in one timeline," Keliie said. "My timeline."
"Once that's done," Jack said. "The other timeline could cast a spell to make everyone forget everything that's happened over the last few monthes."
"So what do we have to do," Sasha asked.
"The original spell called for the embodiments of light and darkness," Lynne said. "At the time me and Jack were the ones to perform the spell. This time though we're going to use Kellie and Jack."
The group now gazed at the two teens who joined Katie in the front. "Its not going to be easy though," Kellie sighed. "Chances are if Fukushu finds out what were up to he'll try to stop us. Jack and I will need backup so that we can finish the ritual."
A murmur now washed over the crowd as they realized they had a herculean task ahead of them.
"We have other problems though," Katie said. "Cole, Kumiko, and Jackie are still prisoners."
"What about the children," Akira stated.
"I was getting to that," Katie stated. "We have some info on that."
Rexie now stepped forward, an impish smirk on her face as she motioned to a translucent chain around her neck. "When we found Mia the connection between me and her came back I know exactly where the kids are."
"I also talked with your sister Akira," Mika said. "It looks like she was able to gain some info. The Yakuza had some contacts with some shadowy special forces commanders. It looks like everyone is being held at the same location under Casseus supervision."
"Its not going to be easy though," Claudia sighed. "Security is tight and Casseus and Isao wont let everyone go without a fight."
The group now nodded as Katie turned towards the back, motioning for someone to join them. The group watched as the people stepped forward in what appeared to be mechanical suits.
"Okay what the hell are those things," Teen Lisa exclaimed.
Ann now stepped to the front, the visor on her battle suit lifting to show her face. Ann felt her face flush as she now looked at the confused group of wizards and magical creatures. "So," she stammered. "There is one other thing we need to do."
"And what's that," Teen Mary Elise asked.
"My company has been designing these battle suits to take out magic," Ann said. "We need to destroy them. If they are ever sent out everyone is going to be in danger."
A confused murmur now spread through the crowd, sensing this Kellie stepped forward to try and regain everyone's attention. "Listen up," she exclaimed. "These suits could easily take out each and every one of us. Even if the ritual is a success and everyone is rescued, Fukushu would still have these suits. If that happens none of us will be safe."
"So let me get this straight," Yuriko sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "We're going to split into three groups. Attempt a ritual that will save a timeline, rescue our friends, AND destroy a bunch of weapons specifically made to destroy magic?"
"Pretty much," Claudia shrugged.
Yuriko took a deep breath, a small smile spreading across her face as she looked at everyone. "What the hell," she smiled. "Let's do it."
