Marcia jumped when a loud pop came from above as the room's lightbulb exploded. As darkness overtook the room, Marcia suddenly felt incredibly uneasy. She peered around the room trying to see what caused the light to burst and gulped as she saw strange moving figures within the shadows. Heart racing and hoping to avoid them spotting her, Marcia dropped down and pulled a blanket over herself.
Cautiously, she reached out with her mind trying to identify the entities. Only strangely she sensed nothing in the room with her. That couldn't be right? Marcia couldn't imagine multiple creatures could cloak themselves from her telepathy at once, but she saw them. Didn't see?
Marcia's normally wouldn't question her senses like this. However, it was hard not to consider the notion her current form might be affecting her more than she expected. After all she is currently curled under a blanket in a crib hiding from the shadows. Not only that, she realized as she suddenly became aware of two incriminating factors; her thumb was in her mouth and a warm dampness surrounded her crotch.
Is she really just a jumpy toddler? A creaking sound from somewhere nearby really made her wonder what she'd prefer to be true. If there was something out there she'd have to get her bag to stop it which was across the room on the changing table. But if there wasn't...
In either case, she needed to decide whether she was going to hide here or try to learn more.
