Even though she still felt a little scared, she decided to carefully lift the front of the blanket and looked out of the crib. After peeking out of the crib, she felt a bit relieved that there was nothing in the room. But immediately, another creak arose, but this time a louder one. Without thinking, she quickly proceeded to hide under the blanket and tried her best to hold her breath. And although it seemed exaggerated, she really wanted to avoid being sighted by any creature that was in that moment.
A few minutes passed, and Marcia could still hear the creaks in the room. Is it that the monster still hadn't noticed that there was a toddler there? She had to find it out. Again, she lifted part of the blanket a bit and carefully peered out to find out what was causing those noises. And in that instant, she received an embarrassing revelation. It was a relatively large rat that was making all those noises, probably looking for something to eat.
Marcia couldn't believe it. All that time she was afraid of a simple rodent. Even she wet her diaper out of fear. If she was scared of a mere rat, who knows how she would react to being in front of a real monster.
