After Gloria's talk with her, Spark tried to not make things anymore awkward as she could with Connor. They played some air hockey, skee-ball, and whac-a-mole games together where both of them competed fairly.
"Man, I'm working up a thirst. How about a drink?" Spark asked.
"Yeah, uh....I can get us some slushies." Connor suggested.
"Oh yeah, I've seen you guys drink those before. Wonder how they'll taste to me now." Spark said as they went over to a stand and ordered two slushies to drink. Before the second drink could finish it came out flat.
"Sorry you two, looks like the machine needs time to process. Here's a second straw, you two can share." The snack machine man said handing them as second straw.
Spark put the straw in the slushie, but didn't start to drink it immediately. Spark and Connor looked at each other awkwardly then slowly began sipping the drink.
"Oh. My. God. This is the most awesome thing I ever drank in my entire life!" Spark said excitedly.
"I know right, it's pretty awesome. I'm glad you're enjoying your day." Connor said as he sipped out of his straw as well.
"Smile you two." Gloria said to the two of them as they turned just in time to see Gloria snap a picture of the two of them on her phone with Caleb chuckling beside her.
"Hey, come on, leave her alone." Connor defended as Gloria and Caleb then walked away.
Spark sipped down more through her straw before she stopped in pain.
"Ow, something's wrong with my head....it feels like it's going to pop out of my skull or something. What's wrong with me?" Spark asked worried.
"It's just some brain freeze, it happens when you drink something that cold, that quick. Come on, sit down over here for a minute to let it pass." Connor said motioning her to sit in a chair next to him.
Spark sat down and slowly began to feel better, but something else then started happening to her. As Connor held her shoulder and hand for comfort, her heart began to beat a little faster.
"Uh....so Connor, I never really got an actual answer from you about how I look as a human girl." Spark said taking her hand away while trying not to blush.
"Well, to be honest, I always kind of...pictured you kind of like this as human. I never once thought you'd look like Gloria or one of her friends in one of those summer dresses, you know? I pictured you, more goth or even punk." Connor answered.
"Thanks, do you....maybe want to go watch a movie? I bet they have some pretty awesome ones playing here." Spark suggested.
