Mike slung his backpack onto the table and sat down in the chair at his college library. He sighed with exasperation. He was supposed to be studying for his big test tomorrow, but, well, it was advanced statistics, and it was the most boring subject imaginable. He just couldn't bring himself to focus on it. Finally, he instead pulled out his phone and pulled up that weird app he'd downloaded at the mall earlier today. Supposedly, it could scan a subject and then pull up a sentence about them, then let you change one word in that sentence - which would actually change whoever, or whatever, you'd scanned! Nearby there was a group of nerds who looked like they were playing Dungeons and Dragons or something. At another table were two football players who were pretending to study, but Mike could tell they kept shooting glances at the pair of pretty sorority girls at the table across from them. Up at the check-in desk was a student volunteer who was idly playing around on her own phone with a bored expression; it looked like it had been a while since anyone had come up to her.
Finally, Mike decided to test his app on...
