"It says here, awareness..." Chloe hovered over the little question mark that explained the setting. "Yes means the subject of the change will be aware, no means they will not. Select advanced for more options," she read. "If you set this to no, it will set Reality Alteration to yes by default. Anyone using or watching someone use the Chronovac will be aware of any changes."
Angie frowned. "So, we click that, and Vanessa doesn't notice anything different, right, so she won't tell my Mom?"
"We can try," Chloe said, changing it to no. The box below it, reality alteration, toggled to yes, and a bunch of other boxes shifted as well. She hit apply.
Outside, Vanessa had stormed off. She might have looked like a 20 year old, but how she moved, and everything else was still unchanged. She headed downstairs to find Angie's mom to tell on her for this. She was halfway down the stairs when Chloe hit Apply. Suddenly, the universe changed.
"What do we do now?" Angie asked Chloe.
