“It was great!” Colin smiled.
“Great for who?! Mom showed everyone my old pics!” Wendy huffed.
“She didn’t catch on, she actually liked me, I didn’t end up in bed with her- NOT THAT I THOUGHT THAT WAS A POSSIBILITY!!!!” Colin blushed.
“Point is, I’ve never had two perfect dates in a row! For once, I’m on top of thiiiiings!!!!”
Colin practically skipped to his room as Wendy watched Sam and Marinette give each other a strange look.
“What’s with you two?” Wendy asked.
Sam lead Wendy into the kitchen and began explaining.
“Last time he said that was a while ago… Marinette made the perfect candlelight dinner… Colin and I went to the fair for the first time… and then one of his old friends from high school dropped by.”
“Who?” Wendy asked.
Sam pointed over to Lucy bouncing around on the couch as she lapped Jamie in Need for Speed.
“Maybe I’m just overthinking things again…” Sam said.
“You might be into something…” Wendy said.
Sam raised an eyebrow.
“Tina told me she went to a hotel with Colin and had an amazing night… and then we met up at the fair…” Wendy said. “Did anything happen before that?”
“That was my first actual date with him.” Shara said, “We went to this beautiful Thai place down from Christy’s bookstore and he was a total sweetheart, didn’t even give that thirsty waitress a second of his attention- why are you two staring at each other like that?”
“Nothing.” Sam said.
“Just some small talk…” Wendy said.
Shara slowly walked out of the room.
“So if she’s up next-“ Wendy said.
“We’d better be on standby in case something goes wrong.” Sam said.
Suddenly they heard a can cracking open.
The blonde Amazon and pink haired woman turned to face Alya and Lisa.
“We’ll take care of it.” Alya said.

Sam just sipped a glass of whiskey as Wendy stirred her daiquiri anxiously.
“I don’t know, maybe we should sneak through the crowd, make sure nothing’s going on.” She said.
“If something’s going on, we’ll hear about it.” Sam said with a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
Sam’s phone buzzed.
The blonde opened up her phone “Hello there, officer Samantha-“
“Omigawd Sammy it’s going down!!!!” Lisa yelled.
“Lisa, what’s going on?!” Sam asked.
Wendy listened closer as Lisa blurted out a bunch of random numbers.
“What’s that mean?” Wendy asked.
“Lucy must’ve taught Lisa our little code…” Sam said, “We’re on the way.”
“What code?” Wendy whispered.
Sam pulled her by the arm “We’ll go over it later, but right now all you need to know is-“
