"I think you can get up Rapunzel girl, these old knees aren't what they used to be." Tom replied, feeling irritated. He looked around the room at his friends, Terry the bat, Hannah the catgirl, child-man Dave and down at himself, the mythical centaur. Then Sue was at his side, wavy brown hair swishing behind her, one hand out to receive the dice. Seeing his meaningful glance at the others, Sue decided to set the record straight.
"Well it's my turn now and I don't think I'll be staying normal for long." she said as she resumed her seat and gathered her hair into her lap. Sue rolled the dice, a 6 and a 2, causing her hair to grow another 8 inches. She moved her playing piece forward until it stopped on a yellow square.
"So the hair change continues," came Dave's high pitched child's voice.
"But I don't feel any different," Sue said lifting her hair from her lap and examining it. As if in response to her query a card slipped out of the middle of the pack and flew into her hand.
You seem perplexed, I'll make this fair
A stronger link from dice to hair
What will happen? You'll soon see
When one is doubled, the other shall be
“What does that mean?” asked Sue as the card flew from her hand and returned to the pack. “I still don’t feel any different.”
"I guess like last time we'll have to wait and see what happens when we roll the dice." Terry suggested. "My turn now."
