Ty opened the door to the carriage, aware of every movement of the form fitting dress that he (now a she) was wearing. The end of the dress flowed like liquid, not restricting her movement, while allowing her to look graceful with little effort.
"That looks good on you," Elenara said "I'd like to get on the road in-case these bandits had reinforcements, but I'd also like to get changed. Do you know how to drive a carriage?"
"Afraid not," Ty replied
"That's ok," Elenara said "Just sit up here, and hold the reins. You're pretty much my exact twin, so once we get going, the horses won't panic while you're holding the reins, as long as you don't move too much. They know where they're going."
"Ok," Ty said, sitting down next to Elenara at the front. She spoke a few words to the horses in Elvish, and they began to move. Handing the reins to Ty, Elenara stepped into the carriage as the horses began moving.
"I'm sorry about earlier," Elenara said "I was being a bit insensitive about your situation. I was excited about maybe having a twin sister, you know?"
"Even if I look like you," Ty said "I wouldn't really be your twin sister. You know that."
"Yeah, I know," she said "You could do worse than being my sister, though I know you probably want to walk another path. The transformation is permanent. I checked that with a spell not long after we left. I don't have enough of your previous form to get you back to that, but if you wish, we can get you back to at least a male form if you still feel that way when we get to the palace."
Her voice sounds sad as she says this.
"Do you have any siblings?" Ty asked.
"No," she said "But I've always wanted one, and as you can imagine, I got a bit over excited when I saw you looking just like me. I thought the gods had blessed me with a sister."
Ty thought for a moment. "You'd want me to be your sister, despite the fact that I'm a guy, and a human?"
"Is that weird?" she said
"A little," said Ty "But I was an only child, too, Princess. So, as long as you don't mind me turning back to a guy if we find a way to, I'd be happy to be your sibling."
