Peter Killroy was a lonely loser that still lived with his parents. He spent most of his days playing video games and jerking off. He did work a job in the fast-food sector. He worked to fund his gaming and porn addictions. He didn't have any friends outside of the connections at work. He didn't smoke nor drink. Those vices were too expensive.
After a particularly exhausting day, Peter was upset. His old habits were unable to comfort him like they always had. He was feeling desensitized and went for a walk late at night. He found a penny glistening under the streetlight and picked it up on a whim. He ambled in the direction of his town's most popular park.
There, Peter found the Greedy Wishing Well. It sat, alone, isolated at the lop of its hill. Peter approached it a stared into the depths. He contemplated his life and the decisions that he had made. He life was sad, mundane, and lonely. He wanted a way out. He fished the penny out of his pocket. He did not bring his wallet and it was the only money that he had.
He made his wish and tossed the penny into the Greedy Well.
