You awoke in a bed with a constant beeping noise. You smelled things you couldn't identify too. Also felt you had something in your arm; a very slight pain. You went to pull the covers off your arm (the slight hurting one) but you stopped when you saw it. You saw your hand & arm. It was covered in black fur up to your elbow & you had black claws tipping your 3 fingers & thumbs which looked slightly paw-like. Shocked you threw off your covers. Now you could see all of your body. You had paws for feet, canine privates, a tail & red, white & black fur covering your body. White mostly down your front & over your groin & tip of your tail, black covering your hands up to the elbows & feet up to your knees, & red everywhere else your could see. And you were naked clearly. "What the fucking hell?!" You yelled shocked sitting up. That outburst seemed to trigger a nurse to run into the room. "Calm down. You were hit by a car & had to be hospitalized. You a pretty lucky fox. You weren't seriously hurt. Only knocked out." She told you coming over to try & calm you. "Fox? How am I a fox? And what car? I wasn't hit by a car. I was walking home (your high school). How'd a car hit me?" You said very confused reaching up to touch your head. Yep you felt a snout & canine ears. The nurse asked you "What date you think this is? Full date & year?" Very puzzled why she asked you told her. The nurse got a weird look & told you were wrong & a totally different date than you told her. And even proved it by showing the calendar on her cellphone. Very puzzled & getting scared you replied "Several years off." The nurse answered "About 9 years to be precise." [My God.] You thought trying to deal with that. Just then a 30 years old brown haired man entered the room. He ran over to you & hugged you saying happy "I'm glad you're ok Red. You were in a coma for 4 days." "We need to do tests on him." The nurse said to the man. He let go of you & looked at her asking confused "Tests?" "Can I get something to wear?" You questioned. The nurse looked at you & told you "You're a zoo animal. It's illegal to dress you. You have to be naked at all times. Period. No exceptions. Period." Shocked you yelled "I'm a zoo animal?!" The man was about to say something when the nurse told him "He has lost the last 9 years of his life do to amnesia caused by his head injury from the accident." The man asked "Seriously?" The nurse nodded. You told this man "I have no memory of becoming an anthromorphic fox as I am now. Becoming a zoo animal. Or even of you. I don't know who you are sir. I seem to have lost all my memories of the last 9 years." The nurse helped you out of bed onto your feet (paws). The nurse with the man started leading to where you'd get the mentioned tests done. You told the man with a sigh "You're going to have to tell me about the last 9 years of my life. All of it." The man replied "I've only known you for 6 years Red. I've only known you as this; an anthromorphic male fox." You sighed "Well...start with that." [Apparently I've been an anthromorphic male Fox longer than I've known this guy. And probably a zoo animal maybe as long.] You thought guessing that. You have no memory of when you became an anthomorphic male fox or a zoo animal. "Well I work at the local zoo which you belong to. I take care of you among other animals. We are actually friends." He told you. "So... you know how I got hit by a car?" You asked curious. The man got mad a bit saying "I was bringing you into this hospital for your yearly check up and some dumbass speeding through the parking lot hit you." You sighed angry "God." The man then asked "Do you know my name?" You shook your head with "No. Not at all." The man sighed "My name is..."
