You walk into the three ring circus, but it's much too dark to see a thing. You try squinting, but it doesn't help. That's when a spotlight suddenly illuminates the very center of the tent, giving you a clear view of a man dressed all in black (and - surprise surprise - all in latex).
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Mephistopheles's latex circus! I am Mephistopheles, and with me I bring tricks that will astonish and amaze, astound and confound, delight, lighten, and entertain all of you! Yes, my show tonight-"
"Er, excuse me," you ask, "but isn't this a three ring show? Like, with three acts?"
"No, young man, you misunderstand! You see, i've three rings right here!" Suddenly, the man produces a top hat from thin air, and from it he pulls three separate metal rings.
"I... guess that's an excuse. Isn't it hard doing a show without an audience?"
"Oh, certainly! This is why, by my great fortune, you've stumbled upon my little act! You'll be all the audience I need! Now, I'll need a volunteer... how about you?"
POOF! Before you even know what's happening, you find yourself in a large cage with Mephistopheles looking in at you. Your outrage at this is probably almost as clear as the fact that he doesn't care.
"Now then, for my first trick..."
