"What do you know? I thought I knew about every game shop in town." A kid said as he walked in the door.
"Well, my shop is a little different from the others in town, Will." The Old Man said.
"I'm almost afraid to ask how you know my name." Will said, picking up the Game of Change, "What's this? Looks almost like Munchkin."
"It's somewhat similar, I suppose." The Old Man said.
"Well, how is it different?" Will asked as he read the back of the box.
"It's all about transformations, magic, and wonder." The Old Man said.
"Sounds good enough for me." Will said, plopping the Game down on the counter.
"Excellent choice. Tell your friends I said hello." The Old Man said as he rang up the Game.
"Will do." Will said, strolling out.

"The guy at the new store says hi." Will said, dropping his bag on the table.
"What new store?" Rebeca asked, not looking up from her phone.
"Spells R Us, this new place in the mall. It's pretty cool." Will said.
"Never heard of it." Logan said as he pulled the Game out of the bag.
"Ooh, you brought us a new toy." Cal said, looking over Logan's shoulder.
"That reminds me." Rebeca said, stuffing her phone in her pocket, "I've got to babysit tonight, and the kid wants to play with us."
"I'm not a kid, and it's not babysitting." A kid said from behind Rebeca.
"This is Gabe." Rebeca said, gesturing behind her.
"Cool. let's get this set up then." Will said, setting down the newly shuffled decks.
"Now, you shuffled well this time, right? Cause you kind of suck at it." Cal said, cutting the decks.
"Mine!" Logan shouted, grabbing the box off the table. A moment later, he hoisted his prize into the air: a ten sided die with a star replacing the zero.
"I bought the game, thank you very much." Will said as he grabbed the die out of Logan's hand.
"How do we play?" Gabe asked, walking up to the table.
"According to this, we deal every player four cards from the event deck, and two cards from the reward deck." Will said, reading the rules sheet.
"So it's like Munchkin?" Cal asked.
"That's what I said." Will said as he dealt out the thirty cards, "Now, it says that we will all work together to try to reach the end of the randomly generated dungeon and claim the ultimate prize: one wish. However, only one of us can win, so we must work together and against each other at once, and now it's totally lost me."
"So, are the cards the dungeon or something?" Cal asked, picking up his hand.
"Some of these are kind of weird." Rebeca said, reading her cards.
"No, what's weird is this last part: to start the game, repeat the following inscription. Logan, you take Latin, read the weirdo magic words." Will said, handing Logan the rules.
"Ludus elit, casus, et sex incipiunt." Logan said. Suddenly, the room was illuminated by a bright light. In an instant, it was empty.
