Luke frowned. "I don't want to get stuck as this strange kid. What if I put on a different costume over top of this one?"
The clerk shook his head. "It's different with human clothes. You gotta take clothes off, even if they worked like a costume to change you. The animal costumes are full body - they cover you completely and that makes them work different. It's complicated, and I don't think we've ever had this happen before."
"So you're saying you really don't know what will happen if I take these off, right?" Luke tugged at Danny's shirt. "I could change back to my normal self, just be naked?"
"Maybe." The clerk shrugged. "But you could also end up stuck as the kid."
"Well, only if I don't find a different costume I like better, right?"
"I think so." The clerk looked flustered. "Sorry, kid. This is new - you may change back, gets tuck like you are, or be able to pick anything in the store. And since it is sorta my fault, I'll give you your choice of anything in the store for free."
Luke looked over at the Great Dane, who was sitting with his tongue lolled out. "Well, it looks like I might as well..."
