"You can't ... change a person into something else ... can you?" you ask shyly.
"Master, I have changed almost every aspect of people's lives in my time. I've changed poor men into rich men. Peasant women into queens. Humans into planets (you probably can't guess which ones)! Old people into children. Children into birds, grownups, unicorns. Murderers into rats. Remember, I am the genie of the possible AND impossible. You can be anything, even something that doesn't exist yet. You can make anyone else into anything."
Your heart picks up speed. Could it be true? But if it weren't, how could a beautiful woman have simply materialized in your room from a lamp? You grit your teeth, build up your courage, and unload what you've been bottling up for years.
"Genie, I know don't care about money or power or justice. Sure, I'd take 'em if you gave 'em to me. But that's human stuff to get you to the top of human society. I'm so done with human society that I don't even want that. We spend our whole lives stressing ourselves out for stuff that wouldn't even matter in the wild. We think we're too good to live in nature but really we're not good enough. Just about any animal is stronger than we are, with better senses and cooler abilities and a simpler life. I know it's like a kid's movie or a fairy tale story, but I really would rather live as an animal."
"Very well, then," answers the genie. "As I said, I've done it before. If you want to be an animal, I can make you any animal you want to be. But like I said, you need to be specific. You need to tell me what kind of animal you want to be and for how long."
