Emily opened her eyes to blackness. She couldn't see anything. At first she thought she was blind, but the realized she could see what looked like a cord? Her eyes started to feel tired so she closed them. They were so tired she just left them shut? "What is going on?" She thought. "Where the hell am I?"
Suddenly she heard a voice in her head. It was Rick's?!
"I think I figured it out Emily."
"Oh my god! Rick? Is that you? Where are we? What happened?" She asked in her own head, starting to panic. In her panic she started kicking a bit, with the soon to be mother being brought off in handcuffs felt.
"Remember what happened? That busty bitch took the camera from you. There was a struggle and then a flash. I think we've been caught in it." He aid. Or thought.
"Oh god. Oh god. I think I figured it out. Are we, unborn?" She asked.
"Yeah, I think so." Rick agreed.
Emily really started to panic now. She would have been hysterical if the womb wasn't such a calming environment.
"Oh god Rick. We don't have the camera. We're stuck in here until we.... get out. Even then, we'll be so young that we won't be able to get the camera if we even find the damn thing!" She said.
Rick said nothing. He had already figured this out and had come to terms with it. There was nothing they could do. And on top of everything, Rick was still a girl. Rick calmed Emily for a bit and the two sat there for what seemed like ages. Neither of them spoke. Finally, about an hour later, Emily spoke.
"Hey Rick, I don't want to grow up again."
"Well I don't want to grow up again either, especially not as a girl. But, at least we have each other right?" He said reassuringly.
Before Emily could respond, they felt a sudden pressure and heard their new mother scream in agony. The two unborn babies knew what was happening, they were about to be born again.
May hours later, the former thief smiled as she held her two babies in her arms. Both were feeding off their mothers milk. They'd normally be embarrassed by this but their tiny bodies were starving. Emily had been renamed Betty, while Rick had been renamed Rebecca. Betty and Becca, twin baby girls. Child protective services came while the two were sleeping and took them away, off to live their new lives, at least until they could track down the camera...
