"I'm Christopher Reid, but call me Chris!" said a somewhat embarressed Chris to one pretty young lady.
"Beth Anne, and please call me that I like to be more formal!" she replied back as then leading our Chris ever deeper into the arch's back and dark tunnel.
As they walk hand in hand Chris gives a look over his shoulder at the people still milling about at the tunnel's opening. The light is very dim and the girl seems to have a place in mind as she walks him ever faster and deeper into the tunnel.
"Where are you taking me?" asked Chris.
"To a window to places, times, and dimensions which few have seen and fewer could ever tell!" she urged Chris along.
There from the darkness came a red light and a very hot wind.
Soon the two stand looking into a furnace filled with thousands upon thousands of people. Chris turns to look at Beth Anne, "What is this?"
"Hell!" she replies in a calm voice.
Not a sound does he hear but those in hell are in agony. Yhe heat makes Chris sweat and ready to wipe the droplets from his forehead Beth Anne stops him with her hand.
"Don't waste even sweat less the Devil himself comes here and grabs you! Remember the old story that the road to Hell is broad. You stand here looking at a place made for sinners but I have something much more thrilling, now come!" Beth Anne tugs Chris along.
A few steps along and another window opens to a steaming jungle. Chris peers out the opening as a hot and humid breeze cools his heated sweat and gives a clammy feeling instead.
Beth Anne points to a moving bush as out from the brush comes a family unit of great apes. The large man struts along in the lead, as several females waddle along behind.
"This was your most early beginnings!' said Beth Anne.
Chris looked out and watched as the apes stopped to nibble on leaves and berries. As he leaned out to look and see the scene Beth Anne asked him a question.
"You find this interesting, one need only step out past the opening to join the happy throng below, is this what you might like?" she asked.
Chris turned an looked at Beth Anne. "Say I do step into the scene what then?"
She smiled, "The Christopher Reid will cease to exsist and a new and very young ape shall walk the jungle!" replied Beth Anne.
Chris stood looking at her as if she was just plain crazy. His face and eyes told all as Beth Anne started to shove on his chest and push him into the scene.
"I offer you something very special and don't like men thinking me to be plum crazy! So go Chris go and be an ape, go!' she said aloud as she pushed ever so hard.
Chris's fingers grabbed and held on to the rocky window's edges. Fear of what really might happen and the terror of if it did was all too much for him.
"No, no, don't push and shove me into there I don't want to be some dirty, stupid Ape!" said Chris as Beth Anne had him at the very edge of the window and a jungle's scene.
Suddenly from below came a thrashing sound as both Beth Anne and Chris stood and watched. Out of the brush came a large male ape as it jumped up and stood inches from one scared Chris.
"Hello Beth Anne!" said the Ape in perfect English.
"Roger!" replied Beth Anne.
Chris looked at Beth Anne, then to the Ape named Roger, then back to Beth Anne.
"The scene is quite full, we need no more Apes Beth Anne!" said Roger.
"Roger?" said Chris in a questioning voice.
"Yup, that was me I'd say about four years back before she pushed me into the jungle scene. Since then I've strained hard to keep my memories and the faculities of my human past. Now I am a great Apes in this jungle mountain scene! I do as an Ape must to live and have for my pleasure seven females, provided by our mutual friend Beth Anne. So dear girl please let this one go or go elsewhere as I need no other male to fight for my harem, ok?" said Roger.
Beth Anne pulled on Chris's sleeve and beckoned him to walk along down the dim lite tunnel, but to what and where?
"Good Bye Beth Anne, you dirty bitch!" Yelled Roger.
"Come we have other scene which might be of interest!" suggest's Beth Anne as Chris looks far back up the tunnel to some dim purple light.
